Juggling multiple projects

Hi Friends,

This question came in recently:

I want to develop an essay based on this prompt, but I'm deep into another writing project. How do you juggle multiple projects? How do you know which one to work on? Thanks!

I’m always juggling multiple projects, which can be a very good thing for my writing. In fact, I often use writing to procrastinate writing. I wrote a couple of poetry books when I was writing my dissertation, and the time with my poems helped give some space to my scholarly work (and in some ways the scholarly work informed the poems).
